Letter from the Sanctuary May 2025
Blessed Blooming Everyone!
Is it just me or did winter feel like it was a million years long? The precious spring blossoms and returning warmth of the sun are illuminating the one thing that we can always count on; from death, life will always come again. Not usually on our preferred timeline however. For me, I had been abiding in the season of winter for over a year, which felt far too long for my sunny disposition to tolerate. However, the beauty that shows itself on the other side of a season of winter, death and grief, makes all of the pain so worth it, and with an expanded capacity for life!
A piece of life that was born from the darkness is my new label of herbal medicines called Cosmic Mother. Cosmic Mother is an ode to my daughter, Stella Grace, who never made it earth-side. These plants have been my allies in grief and deepening into the human journey. With so much heart and intention, a tea blend, an adaptogenic powder and my tried and true elderberry elixir were born and I hope they support your heart, body, mind and spirit as much as they have mine.
To briefly share a bit about each -
Hyldemoer (Elder Mother) Elderberry Elixir is my signature formula. I’ve been told it “tastes like nature” and like my grandmother’s blackberry cordials she used to make. It is a deep immune tonic supporting our own inner nature. I love it for these times as a daily ritual to provide nourishment in antioxidants, vitamin C, anit-viral, anti-histamine and anti-microbial properties, respiratory support and warmth to the digestive system (Organic Ingredients: Elderberries, Elecampagne, Rosehips, Pinon Pine, Orange Peel, Clove, Ginger, Cinnamon, Brandy, Honey and Filtered water)
Cosmic Heart Tea Blend combines all of my dearest heart allies into one beautiful blend. I find it to be calming to the mind, brings me into presence, reduces anxiety, opens the heart and grounds me in my body. This blend is also meant to be a support in our practices to connecting with our own hearts to receive the cosmic guidance necessary in our evolution. So many of us live in our heads, and I deeply believe we are being asked to interact with each other and with life from our cosmic hearts moving forward. Earth Pace Adaptogenic Powder is a blend that brings the body, mind and spirit into its natural rhythm. The intelligence of adaptogens provide the body with what it needs in that particular moment. Sometimes that means that the body needs to “come down” from the cortisol-induced or anxious state that we’ve been running on for days/weeks/years and sometimes that means we receive a natural energy boost if you’ve been feeling fatigued.
